(More customer reviews)The picture makes this basket look sturdy, but it isn't. The round clips that go around the handlebar are cheap plastic. As I was tightening them on the handlebar one of them began to split. That was annoying, but I figured I could make my own out of metal when the time came and the clip broke completely. The second problem occurred the first time we used it. My wife put a small dog in the basket (4-5 lbs) and we took a ride. Half way through our ride the brace that holds it against the handlebar broke, the basket fell forward, and the dog went flying. My wife had to try to steer the bike and hold the basket the remainder of the trip. Unfortunately, it's too late for me to return it, but Amazon's return policy doesn't appear to accommodate defective items anyway. I bought a Wald 3133 Q-R from a local outfit and it works great: easier to install and an order of magnitude more sturdy.
