(More customer reviews)I don't really like how this pump works. You have to shove the presta valve stem into the pump head and yank it out when you are done. The rubber seal in the pump head gets ripped apart after a few uses and the valve stem takes a beating at the same time. I prefer the old pump head with the locking lever where nothing gets torn up.

(More customer reviews)I bought this pump at my LBS because I needed it like, now, and I have not been disappointed. I have had to use it on multiple occasions, from either totally flat tires after changing or repairing a tube (twice now), or just pumping up another 10 or 20 pounds on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The double setting allows a lot of air to quickly pump up a tire to about 60 psi, and then I switch it over to pump up to 110 or 120 psi. There are two openings on the end for both types of valves, and both work flawlessly. I have learned though that I do not have to push the connector too far onto the valve stem, just a little way on and it pumps fine, which makes a big difference when trying to remove it when your done. I have checked the pump accuracy to my accu-gage tire gauges and they are spot on. The only thing I don't like is the loud pop of air escaping from the pump tube when I remove the pump from the tire valve, this is normal, but just letting you know to expect it if you haven't bought one before. The price is right, the pump works great, what else is there.

(More customer reviews)As a professional bicycle restorer, finding a good reproduction frame pump is a must. This pump is well made smaller in diameter than the original British pumps which is good and actually work to pump up a tire. They are light weight and fit the frame bosses on English 3 speeds well. Some people may find them a bit loose fitting. They may not be incredibly tight in between the frame bosses, but they will not fall out nor do they rattle. This Problem can be over come with a brass schrader to presta adapter found anywhere. Just thread it lightly into the end of the hose, and the extra length and rubber gasket inside the adapter make the pump fit MUCH tighter. All in all it's a great pump to finish a restoration and one goes on every bicycle I restore.

I returned the first new one thinking it was just a bad seal in manufacture, but the second one leaked in the same place. Maybe they have a bad bunch of seals, but either way they have a quality control problem. Almost impossible to service also. These pumps are junk.
