(More customer reviews)I am a very healthy and reasonably fit 50-year woman. I play tennis and swim 50-100 lengths daily. I bought the weights to gradually improve my upper arm strength. They are fantastically versatile, the only comment I would have is that I think the weights should start from 5lbs, not 10lbs.
Two of my friends used the weights and found the lowest weights too heavy to start training. My sons use them and can do much heavier weights.
We all gave them a score of 5 out of 5.

(More customer reviews)The description of this product clearly states that it consists of two bars, two sets of weights and two storage trays. My original shipment arrived with only one dumbell in a box that clearly stated it contained only one. After registering a complaint, Amazon apologized and promptly sent me a replacement product. The replacement is also only one dumbell. However now they expect the original shipment returned which would only compound the problem.
If you can get the two dumbbells for the advertised price, they are quite effective. The only drawback is that when you select fewer than the maximum number of weights, the remaining weights tend to get cuaght when you lift the bars from the tray. A little more care and attention resolves this difficulty.

(More customer reviews)I was happy with my dumbbells until one of the selector pin plastic pieces broke. Dumbells have 90 day warranty after that you have to buy replacement parts. You must contact ICON the manufacture of the product for parts. The plastic selector is part of the handle part # 274214 ($102 + ship). They will not sell the part separate. The plastic selector by itself should only cost a couple dollars. Without the selector the dumbbell is worthless. I have called and emailed ICON multiple times just trying to get someone at ICON to see how ridiculous this is with no luck. Save your money buy something else.

(More customer reviews)This adjustable dumbbell set fell apart the very first time I used it. I set the weight to 20lb for each dumbbell to get ready for a set of military press. I lifted the weight to my shoulders and then up for the first rep. The internal mechanism snapped while the weights were over my head. Fortunately I was not harmed. The weight missed my head and feet and slammed to the floor. There is minimalStamina 50-Pound Versa-Bell II Adjustable Dumbbell Pair damage done to my wood floor and the crashing sound sure did startle the heck out of me, that was the extent of the damage. I called Amazon, they were very helpful - I will receive a full refund plus a gift card for my trouble. Stamina (the company that makes this product) has proven to be very difficult to deal with. I called several times to report this issue. The customer service representative seemed annoyed with me. The manager was also supposed to get back to me but has neglected to do so thus far. I checked the BBB; there are multiple similar complaints with the company's products and their lack of professionalism and follow through in regards to dealing with unhappy customers. I certainly do understand looking for a bargain, especially during these trying times. For safety's sake I would invest in a better quality product. Good luck.

(More customer reviews)I am a high school baseball coach and I have purchased 3 types of adjustable dumbells. After trying all 3 I have to say that these are the better of the 3. Reasons being is because they are easy to adjust the weights as opposed to the turn/click adjustable dumbells and they are better because the weights are strongly assembled as opposed to adjustable dumbells that use a plastic based material to hold the weights together.
Lastly, the price is right.
