My original shipment arrived with only one dumbell in a box that clearly stated it contained only one. After registering a complaint, Amazon apologized and promptly sent me a replacement product. The replacement is also only one dumbell. However now they expect the original shipment returned which would only compound the problem.
If you can get the two dumbbells for the advertised price, they are quite effective. The only drawback is that when you select fewer than the maximum number of weights, the remaining weights tend to get cuaght when you lift the bars from the tray. A little more care and attention resolves this difficulty.
