(More customer reviews)Anybody who does muni probably has gouges in their shins and calves. This is simple, well-designed, and protects well. I ordered a large, but a medium really would have worked just was well, as I'm 5'8" and 165 lbs.

(More customer reviews)Since I couldn't find a sizing guide, I ordered the XXS for my 4-year old, since I couldn't imagine anyone smaller than him needing shin guards. When we opened the box, we had a good laugh....they are tiny! The barely even fit my 11 month old. I'd say that they are about 4 inches tall. My son does wear the ankle guards though, which are huge, compared to the shin guard itself. So that has been handy.

(More customer reviews)These shin guards look small but are the same size as conventional shin guards. I have several different pairs and I wouldn't have believed these were big enough but they are. They are light weight and don't have uncomfortable straps. They are great to wear in hot weather because of the lack of extra material for binding them to the leg. They come with a special shin sleeve. The both of them make the shin guard easy to put on and take off. I don't have to put the shin guards on well before the game. I can do it after I've warmed up. I plan to buy another backup pair soon.

Cons:

I wanted shin guards that would separate from the ankle guards. This way I need only on pair of guards whether I am playing a friendly game of pick up soccer or more aggressive league soccer. The dual elastic straps keep the guards in place with or without the ankle guards. There is a trade off between protection and comfort/breath-ability. These are more toward the protection side of the spectrum.

There is no sizing info on the product page. I bought a medium at first, but it is a youth size (5'3" or shorter). For an adult size you want large (5'11") or extra large.
