I paid too much for it to be plastic, but then I gave it to my husband and he put it on his SUV and it looks great! It's probably better than something heavier because it will stay attached and it looks a million times better than those magnets or a bumper sticker! I went back and got one for my brother.... Moral of my story - Buy this and don't be disappointed when it comes - put it on your vehicle - it looks fantastic!
