(More customer reviews)This is a nice sturdy curl bar, nothing too special, but a basic piece of equipment. It is very solid and well made, a one piece machined bar with chrome plating. It is designed to work with weight plates with 1" diameter (nominal) holes. The bar uses screw-on collars (supplied with bar) on threaded ends. My only complaint, and why I give it a 3 instead of 5 is that the collars do not stay tight. Between each set of reps you have to re-tighten the collars. There is no danger of the weights plates falling, they just get a little `jiggly' which makes the bar feel a bit unstable. Not a big deal, I'm not going to load hundreds of pounds for curls or triceps extensions, so it's not dangerous, but it does feel cheap.
