(More customer reviews)This lure is Heavy- probably best used with a bait casting reel. Once you work the lure properly you will see how it works- a straight retrieve isn't the right idea. Let it settle after casting then with rod at 11 o'clock give it a tug (Not strong) so it 'glides' a few feet forward and take up the slack. Repeat, dipping the rod tip as it gets closer to you. Check out Rapala's website for more pointers, but this is NOT a regular cast and retrieve bait like a shad rap. Can't wait to take it piking soon.
